DigitalHQ project director appointed Chair of Dún Laoghaire Town Team

Commenting on his appointment Eoin said:

It was a privilege to be selected unanimously at this week's meeting as the next Chair of Dún Laoghaire Town Team for a two year term. I serve on the Town Team representing @Digital Dun Laoghaire.

I am grateful to the retiring Chair Martin O'Byrne whose work has put the Town Team in a great position to deliver for our town over the coming years.

Some people talk about Dún Laoghaire Town as being "a great country town but in an urban setting", friendly and intimate while at the same time connected to everything you might need. Taken with its stunning views, cosmopolitan culture, Mediterranean appearance and physical beauty its hard to disagree in my opinion.

In terms of our objectives over the next two years the overall guiding principle of our work is that of enabling our town to deliver on its huge potential. To this end we will be holding a stakeholder workshop shortly to finalise the details of the priorities for our different workstreams.

I look forward to working with my colleagues on the Town Team, from DLR CoCo officials to our elected representative Lorraine Hall, from Dún Laoghaire Tidy Towns to the Business Association and DLR Chamber to achieve our goals and make our town the best urban town in the country!
