Hugh Durkin and Alison Harvey join DigitalHQ's Advisory Panel

DigitalHQ clg are delighted to announce that Hugh Durkin and Alison Harvey have join our Advisory Panel.

We recently announced that we successfully received support from Enterprise Ireland for our plans to scale up our offering to more small businesses next year. DigitalHQ have exciting plans for 2021 and our new panel members will be very helpful to this.

While the Board of DigitalHQ monitor and facilitate the progress of our not-for-profit company, the goal of the Advisory Panel is to form an informal group of people that are aligned with our mission, prepared to meet on an occasional basis and lean in on relevant projects/initiatives subject to their existing commitments.

Hugh is Director, Product Development at HubSpot. He was previously Product & Partnerships at Facebook, Intercom, Zalando at the managerial level. He is a local resident in Dun Laoghaire and was a small business owner himself so is very familiar with the practical help small businesses need to leverage digital effectively.

Alison is the Programmes Manager at The Heritage Council of Ireland, she is an Urban Economics and Regeneration Specialist. She was the founder/co-ordinator of the Collaborative Town Centre Health Check Training Programme with RGDATA, Department of Culture, Department of Housing, the National Housing Agency and the IPI, ILI, RIAI, etc. e.g. Tralee won Most Enterprising Town in Ireland in 2017.

Ali recently launched an excellent podcast series "Putting Town Centres First" to raise awareness and understanding of key issues now confronting our historic town centres.

The role of the Advisory Panel features here on the DigitalHQ website - https://www.digitalhq.ie/governance

Working together we can make a positive contribution to rejuvenating our town centres by helping get indigenous small businesses back up on their feet through digital.
